In front of the world's most beautiful mountain scenery: Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. In summer you have the choice of around 500 kilometers of well-marked walking, hiking and mountain paths. Starting from Grindelwald or any of the mountain stations, which can be reached with ease via the various railways and cableways. Traditional mountain taverns along the way make for a perfect pit-stop!

160 kilometers of signposted mountain bike trails take you through Grindelwald's landscape. There are tours to fit all skill levels: from simple to extreme, easy to challenging, family tour to 88 km marathon tour.

The rental of the hotel's own mountain bikes is free for our guests. For an electric mountain bike, we charge CHF 25 for half a day and CHF 40 for a full day.

Trail Running in Grindelwald

Grindelwald offers everything you could wish for as a trail runner. The countless trails lead you leisurely through forests and across meadows, the technically demanding trails also take you into alpine terrain at times. The highlight of the year for all runners is the Eiger Ultra Trail in mid-July.

The most popular peaks are the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Those who want to experience the mountains in a less challenging way can enjoy a guided tour of the Aletsch glacier with an overnight stay in a SAC refuge. And thanks to four via ferratas, non-climbers can experience what is normally the exclusive reserve of mountaineers and climbers: picking your way along the rock face, enjoying the thrill of the moment amidst spectacular surroundings.
